Gangster Dipak Manange remanded to judicial custody for failing to produce bail amount
The Special Court on Tuesday remanded gangster Dipak Manange to judicial custody on money laundering charge, as he failed to produce bail amount of Rs 29 million in line with the court order.
Manange has been taken to Dilli Bazar jail after chief judge Kedar Prasad Chalise and judges Manoraman Bhattarai and Bhupendra Prasad Rai issued the order.
Manange’s wife Pasang has been released on a bail amount of Rs 250,000.
Manange is charged by the Department of Money Laundering for illegally earning properties worth Rs 148 million.
Similar cases have been filed against gangsters Ganesh Lama and Parsuram Basnet. Lama is in jail for failing to produce Rs 30 million bail, while Basnet has been released on Rs 20 million bail. Nepalnews.com
