Indian godman booked for sexual assault on minor girl
Asaram Bapu, a prominent Indian Hindu spiritual leader, has been booked for alleged sexual as a minor girl filed a complaint against him, agency reports said quoting police officials in New Delhi
The minor submitted a written complaint against Bapu at Kamala Market police station in central Delhi Tuesday evening. "We registered the complaint, but the girl said the incident occurred in Rajasthan, so the case will be forwarded to Rajasthan," a police officer told IANS.
Asaram Bapu, who has tens of thousands of followers, had hugged headlines earlier after the police in the Indian state of Gujarat filed a case of attempted murder against him along with his two associates.
