Election boycott groups won't disrupt polls: CEC Uprety
Chief Election Commissioner Nil Kantha Uprety Tuesday expressed his 'hope' that the election boycott groups, including CPN-Maoist led by Mohan Baidya, will not disrupt the upcoming Constituent Assembly polls.
"They may have announced poll boycotts. At first, I would like to request them to join election. If they don't, I'm pretty hopeful that they would not attempt to intimidate in the election process," Uprety said, while speaking with media persons in Bharatpur, Chitwan.
Uprety further said political parties play a key role in making an election successful. "It's not the time to mull over differences, but to move ahead to make the elections a success," he added. Nepalnews.com
