South Asian soccer teams arrive in Kathmandu for SAFF Championship
The national football teams of India and Sri Lanka have arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday for the upcoming Eighth SAFF Championship that is scheduled to kick off here at the Dasharath Stadium from August 31 to September 11.
Nepal have been drawn in Group ‘A’ alongside India, Pakistan and Bangladesh while Afghanistan, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Bhutan are in Group ‘B’.
Similarly, the national teams of Bangladesh, Pakistan and Bhutan have already arrived in Kathmandu earlier.
Meanwhile, Pakistan national team was held on for a 1-1 draw with Nepali U-19 and U-16 team in the practice match prior to the championship.
