‘Mukti’ operation begins in Bhaktapur to quell abusive drugs trade
In a bid to thwart abusive drugs trade and help youths get rid of addiction, a ‘Mukti’ operation has begun in Bhaktapur, said police on Saturday.
Under the operation, five individuals involved in the illegal trade of drugs have been arrested with abusive drugs and cash.
The culprits have been identified as Dikesh Naiba (23), Rajan Khyaju (25), Sushil Tamarthu (22), Laxmi Narayan Manandhar (25) and Pratima Pariyar (20). All five were the locals of Bhaktapur district.
‘Mukti’ is a one-week special campaign of Bhaktapur Municipal Police to expose the trade of abusive drugs including heroine, hashish and marijuana. Bhaktapur is one of the districts, where drugs abuse is on a rise, according to police. Nepalnews.com
