NC prez tells Maoists to stop dreaming about grabbing state-power through violent means
Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has advised the ruling UCPN (Maoist) to “correct” their ways while there is still time left.
Addressing a mass meet organised by NC Surkhet in Birendranagar on Thursday, he warned UCPN (Maoist) against harbouring the dreams of grabbing state power through “the barrel of the gun”.
Saying that nobody will fear Maoist intimidation and threats from now on, he blamed the Maoist party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal of trying to spread fear and panic among the people of the country by hinting that he will shred the Comprehensive Peace Agreement into pieces.
Koirala also critisized the UCPN (Maoist) party and Madhesi alliance of being indifferent to the politics of consensus.
He also said his party NC will carry on holding talks with parties to forge consensus on crucial issues while still waging protests to bring down the current government. Nepalnews.com
