Govt to introduce dual-colour LPG from Feb 12
The government has been preparing to introduce colour-coded liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder system in February.
The government had previously failed to implement the red and blue colour cylinder system in the earlier announced dates of August 17 and October 17 last year.
The Ministry of Commerce and Supplies (MoCS) will introduce the two coloured cylinders for household and commercial purposes from February 12, said MoCS secretary Lalmani Joshi on Thursday.
As the LPG entrepreneurs were reluctant regarding the enforcement of the two coloured cylinders citing lack of proper regulation, the implementation of the system had been hindered, said Joshi.
Even the gas entrepreneurs are positive towards government plan and the government is all set to enforce the system from February 12, said Joshi. Nepalnews.com
