Rabid dogs terrorise Kalikot villagers

People in two Village Development Committees (VDCs) in Kalikot district are living under the fear of rabid dogs, state-owned news agency RSS reported.

Three people have fallen ill in Lalu and Malkot VDCs after they were bitten by rabid dogs that roam the area.

Even cattle in these VDCs have fallen ill after being bitten by mad dogs, it is learnt. A pig has died due to this at Lalu VDC.

The District Livestock Service Office, Kalikot said it has already dispatched the anti-rabies vaccines to the affected areas.

Locals say the rabid dogs have not yet been killed or taken under control even though they are roaming the villages. Nepalnews.com
