Nepal's vision on forestry presented in Washington
Dr. Krishna Chandra Paudel, Secretary of the Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation, presented Nepal’s vision for the future of forestry in Nepal and its importance to the country’s economic prosperity at an exclusive event at WWF-US in Washington D.C on Wednesda.

The event, co-hosted with the Embassy of Nepal, was attended by partners and officials including from the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Forest Service, WWF-Nepal said.
At the programme, Dr Paudel laid out a framework that stressed the importance of developing business models that integrate and promote tourism in key national parks and protected areas. The business models will also stimulate the sustainable production of forest products.
