Biratnagar-based businessman found dead in India
Biratnagar-based businessman Gangabisan Rathi (69) was found murdered in India, 23 days after being abducted, local police said.
Siliguri police said Rathi was strangled to death and his body dumped into the Tista in Sikkim. The 'mastermind' in Rathi’s abduction Chandra Chudal, who claimed to be the chairman of Shiva Sena Party, was also found dead.
Rathi had been missing from Siliguri since January 11. Police found the bodies as per the statements of Indian nationals Surendra Kumar Mishra and Abhijit Basu who were arrested in connection with the abduction, local reports said.
Rathi was former chairman of Morang Business Organisation, chairman of Nepal-India Friendship Union and chairman of Atithi Sadan. Nepalnews.com
