NEPSE sheds 3.68 pts
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has lost 3.68 points to settle at 510.68 points on Thursday from Sunday’s 514.35 points last week.
All the major sub-groups witnessed a negative growth including the commercial bank group, which shed 4.57 points, manufacturing group lost 10.17 points, hotel group 11 points, hydropower group 8.36 points, insurance group 0.98 points, finance group 4.26 points and development bank group 3.26 points.
The total turnover of the stock market also fell by 7.62 percent to Rs. 321.09 million last week from Rs. 347.56 million the previous week. Similarly, 10,91,842 units of shares were traded in the secondary market while the same was recorded 20, 19,371 units the previous week.
Of the total transaction, category A companies alone recorded Rs. 193.1 million transaction which is 60.15 percent of the total turnover.
Chilime Hydropower Company, Everest Bank, Nepal SBI Bank, Nabil Bank and Nepal Investment Bank were the top five companies to hold highest transaction recording Rs. 28.94 million, Rs. 27.57 million, Rs. 19.14 million, Rs. 19.078 million and Rs. 18.14 million respectively. Nepalnews.com
