Fertilizer plant to be set up in Kavre

The Janakalyan Multiproduct Limited Company is to set up a fertilizer plant at Panchkhal of Kavre district, state-owned news agency RSS reported.

Founder member of the Company, Gangalal Shrestha, said at a programme here on Sunday that the fertilizer plant would be set up in the near future with the share investment of Nepali nationals.

He said the company would generate 400 Megawatt power and 150 Megawatt of it would be used in processing nitrogen for the production of urea fertilizer.

Shrestha said that in the beginning the raw materials for fertilizer production would be imported but they would be produced in the country later. Nepalnews.com
