Neutral or small party PM unacceptable, says Oli

At a time when the UCPN (Maoist) is preparing to officially float the proposal for a neutral Prime Minister, senior UML leader K.P Oli has said the new Prime Minister must be from a major party.

Speaking at the 15th anniversary of Press Chautari Nepal's Banke branch in Nepalgunj on Monday, Oli said that his party is not going to accept a Prime Minister from smaller parties or a neutral one.

The Maoist-Madhesi government must resign right away as it has lost moral, political and constitutional legitimacy after failing to hold the elections it declared, he added.

Ruling out internal differences on how to find a way out of the current crisis, Oli also claimed that the UML had no dispute on how to judge the Maoists. Nepalnews.com
