UCPN (M) general convention: Shrestha asks party not to ignore nationality issue
UCPN (Maoist) vice chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha has differed with party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's political dossier presented in the closed door session of the party's ongoing seventh general convention in Hetauda, saying that it should not ignore the issue of "national independence".

Speaking to reporters after presenting his dissent, verbally, in the closed door meet on Tuesday, Shrestha said the party "does have internal differences on the nationality issue and this should be resolved by the general convention".
Shrestha, who has been criticising the Bilateral Investment Promotion and the Protection Agreement (BIPPA) signed with India by the current government in which he is a Deputy Prime Minister, said the agreement is not in favour of Nepal as it is not compatible with the party's policy to develop national capital.
He, however, mentioned that he was not opposed to Dahal's paper in its entirety and that there was no dispute over the leadership. He also claimed that he was not eying any particular post. Nepalnews.com
