Lightning claims two lives in Bajura

Two persons died after being struck by lightning in Bajura district Tuesday night. Other six people were injured in the incident.

The deceased have been identified as Kidi Rokaya, 27, and Bhim Rokaya, 15 of Kanda-7. Reports quoted police as saying that the six injured have returned home after receiving minor treatment at a local health center.

The lightning had struck an electricity pole that stood between two houses, causing a short circuit that killed two and injured six, police said. Nepalnews.com
