Students in Karnali likely to be deprived of textbooks this year too
Students in Karnali zone of the mid-western region are likely to be deprived of timely distribution of textbooks this year also, state-owned news agency RSS reported.
Although the textbooks allocated for the schools in five districts- Humla, Mugu, Jumla, Dolpa and Kalikot- of the zone have been already brought to Nepalgunj, its delivery could not take place yet due to lack of coordination between the Janak Education Materials Center ( JEMC) and the Sajha Publications.
The supply of textbooks has delayed although the meeting of the Council of Ministers earlier had decided to clear the dues of the Sajha to the JEMC, Sajha Regional Chief Deepak Adhikari told RSS.
The new academic session in the Himalayan districts is beginning after a week or the first of Fagun as per Nepali calendar.
However, the delivery of textbooks to Kalikot district has been initiated, it is learnt. nepalnews.com |
