Students, police clash in Chitwan

Students affiliated to student unions affiliated to various political parties clashed with the police in Bharatpur, Chitwan on Friday morning.

The clash broke out after police intervention against the transport strike enforced by activists of CPN-Maoist aligned All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary ANNISU (R) following attack over its student leader Sushil Neupane.

Neupane is a chairman of the CPN-Maoist aligned ANNISU (R) at Rampur-based Central Institute for Agriculture and Animal Science who was attacked by an identified group on Thursday.

It is learnt that the transportation in the district has come into normality after the release of detained students. Nepalnews.com
