Fire engulfs Biratnagar airport runway
Regular flights at the Biratnagar Airport were disrupted for two hours on Friday following fire on its runway.
Officials said grass adjoining to the southern part of the runway caught fire at around 4 pm. The fire started from a cigarette butt thrown on the grass. It spread through the grass and engulfed the area 20 metres from the runway. Some domestic flights were diverted and delayed due to this, officials said. Nepalnews.com
