CPN-M to mark 'people's war' day in Rolpa
The Mohan Baidya-led CPN-Maoist has decided to commemorate the 'people's war' by organising a major programme in Rolpa on February 12.
Senior leaders of the party including party chairman Baidya, vice chairman C.P Gajurel, general secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa and secretary-duo Dev Gurung and Netra Bikram Chand are to attend the function at Thabang, RSS said. The Maoist party had launched the armed war from Rolpa on this day in 1996.
Baidya had split from the UCPN (M) six months ago and formed the CPN-M, accusing the latter of deviating from the ideals of the people's war. nepalnews.com
