Indo-Nepal Sports and Music Fest in Nepalgunj

The First Indo-Nepal Sports and Music Festival commenced in Nepalgunj on Saturday with the objective of promoting mutual goodwill between the people living in areas near the Nepal-India border in Banke district, state-owned news agency RSS reported.

The festival is organised by the Creative Hands in collaboration with the Summit Nepal and it is managed by a local organization called Antaral.

Various sports events and cultural shows are being held as part of the festival. Local players from both India and Nepal are participating in the games.

As part of the Festival, a team comprising folk singer Komal Oli and international player Deepak Bista conducted an orientation for students of local schools regarding the conduct to enhance the goodwill among the peoples of the two countries sharing the border.

Famous artistes from Nepal including singer Nalina Chitrakar, Shiva Pariyar, and Yagya Raj Upadhyay and comedy artiste Jeetu Nepal, Sunil Singh Thakuri, matinee idol Karishma Manandhar, among others, performed in the Festival. Nepalnews.com
