Over dozen policemen hurt as van escorting PM's car turns turtle

Fourteen security officials were injured when their van escorting Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai's car overturned on the road in Narayanghat, Chitwan, Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred when the diver was trying to turn the van. The police van was escorting the PM who was on his way to Bharatpur Airport to return to the capital. The injured policemen have been undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.

PM Bhattarai was in Chitwan to inaugurate the golden jubilee function of Bal Kumari Girls Higher Secondary School in Narayanghat. Nepalnews.com
