Kantipur Marathon on Feb 18

Kantipur Publication Pvt. Limited, the publishers of Kantipur Daily and the Kathmandu Post, is going to organise the third edition of Kantipur Marathon in the capital on February 18, according to a press release issued by Nepal Sports Council on Monday.

Kantipur Publication has been organising the event since the last three years on the occasion of its anniversary. The event is sponsored by Hero, a motorcycle company.

The main attraction of the event is 21.1 km distance Marathon in which winners in men’s and women’s categories will bag Rs. 50,000 each.

Similarly, runner-up and second runner up in both the categories will receive Rs. 20,000 each while those securing fourth place will get Rs. 10, 000 each. Likewise, the fifth and sixth prizes for both the categories are Rs. 5,000 and 3,000.

The day-long event will also feature 5 km Corporate Media race, wheel chair for disabled and 3 km race. Nepalnews.com
