Bird flu cases found again in Kathmandu; Officials cull fowls in Setidevi village
Officials from the Animal Health Directorate have culled around 1680 fowls at a poultry farm in Setidevi VDC, Kathmandu after chickens being raised at the farm tested positive for avian influenza (bird flu).
The disease had been found in farms in Nayapati and Manamaiju in the last few days. Dr Narayan Ghimire, spokesperson for the directorate, said around 200 kg of poultry feed at Ram Raja KC's farm, which is located near the Pharping Powerhouse, was also destroyed. Nepalnews.com
