APF confiscates 425 kgred sandalwood

The Armed Police Force (APF) on Tuesday confiscated 425kg red sandalwood from Lamosanghu of Sindhupalchowk district.

An APF team seized 20 logs of illegal sandalwood from a truck Ba 2 Kha 8723 when it was being smuggled to China via the border town of Khasa Bazaar.

Truck driver Purna Tamang and his helper Sonam Tamang of Karthali-4 of the district have been taken into custody for further investigation, said APF. Nepalnews.com
