NEPSE gains 18.15 pts
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index continued upward trend on the second trading day, posting increase by 18.15 points to 532.92 points on Tuesday.
The secondary market had gained 1.14 points to 514.77 points on Sunday, the first trading day this week. The market was closed on Monday due to public holiday.
As per the sub-indices, all the groups posted positive trend with banking index up by 23.27 points, hotels 0.76 points, development banks 1.34 points, hydropower 31.48 points, finance 1.42 points, insurance 16.49 points, manufacturing 20.76 points and others 19.97 points.
The benchmark also registered a turnover of Rs. 238.07 million trading 943,645 unit shares through 1550 transactions in a single day.
NIDC Capital Markets Limited Promoter Share (Rs. 70 million), Nepal Bangladesh Bank (Rs. 32 million), Bank of Kathmandu (Rs. 14 million), Chileme Hydropower Company (Rs. 11 milion), and Everest Bank Limited (Rs. 10 million) were the top five companies in terms of highest turnovers. Nepalnews.com
