NOC hikes price of cooking gas by Rs 630; households to get Rs 550 as govt subsidy
Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has hiked the price of cooking gas (Liquid Petroleum Gas) even before the government’s plan to implement the system of separate gas cylinders for domestic and commercial purposes.
A board meeting of the state-monopoly on supply of petroleum products in the country held on Tuesday decided to increase the price of cooking gas by a massive Rs 630.
Now, the price of a cylinder of cooking gas meant for commercial purpose has reached Rs 2100. However, those using cooking gas for household
purposes would receive a government subsidy of Rs 550 for one cooking gas cylinder each month.
According to NOC, people using cooking gas for domestic purpose would get Rs 550 rupees upon submitting the consumer card and bill within 60 days of purchase of the cooking gas. nepalnews.com |
