The students organised protest programme in front of various colleges in the capital including Tri Chandra, Ratna Rajya, Sankhar Dev, Amrit Science Campus, among others, causing traffic snarls in the main thoroughfares of the capital Wednesday morning.

They have also demanded that the government revert the decision to hike the price of cooking gas at the earliest and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai resign from his post over the imbroglio.

The students have also warned to organise intense protests, demonstrations and rallies if the government turned a deaf ear to their demands.
