Gas price hike won't affect general public: Bhattarai
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has said that the government's decision to hike price of cooking gas will not affect the general public.
As the government has announced a Rs 550 subsidy for the general people, the price hike will not affect households, PM Bhattarai tweeted on Wednesday, a day after the state-run Nepal Oil Corporation declared the hike.
We have started distributing LPG cylinders in two colours: red for domestic households and blue for commercial businesses, said the PM adding that households will now have to pay Rs 1,550 and businesses Rs 2100. Nepalnews.com
