Talks on election govt to continue today
Top leaders of the UCPN (Maoist), the Nepali Congress and the UML are to continue talks on the formation of an election government today as well.
The major parties that claimed after Monday's meeting that they were very close to an agreement to form the government headed by a non-political figure have now started differing.
A meeting of the four major forces on Tuesday ended inconclusively as the opposition parties toughened their stance, hinting that they were not yet to ready for a government led by Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi as proposed by the UCPN (M).
However, during a meeting with the President last evening they pledged to continue talks to reach a deal at the earliest. The parties are to hold internal deliberations ahead of the joint meeting. nepalnews.com
