Four left parties to oppose attempts to form CJ-led election govt

Four left parties including the CPN-Maoist are set to organise protest and demonstration rallies in the capital on Sunday afternoon to oppose attempts to form election government headed by the incumbent Chief Justice (CJ).

Saying that formation of a CJ-led election government would be in stark violation of the interim constitution, the concept of multi-party contention and national sovereignty, the four fringe parties – CPN-Maoist, CPN (Maoist), CPN (Unified) and Revolutionary Communist Party - are scheduled to organise the protest at around 4 pm in Ratnapark today.

They have demanded that the political parties should try to form a national unity government by choosing a consensus candidate among themselves instead of constitution a CJ-led government. Nepalnews.com
