Pokhara police detain over four dozen street vendors
Pokhara police have detained over four dozen street vendors who were protesting against the dismantling of their huts in various locations of the city, since early on Sunday.
The news comes a day after Pokhara officials dismantled illegal huts built for business purpose in areas of the Lake City such as Chipledhunga and Prithvi Chowk.
The protesters had clashed with police, before they were detained. The agitated street vendors have said they will go on with their stir until the government provides them alternative means of livelihood. Nepalnews.com
