NEPSE surges by 25.73 pts in first day of trade-week

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index continued its upward trend posting a gain of 25.73 points to settle at 555.93 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

The index had increased by 15.43 points to settle at 530 points over last week.

As per the sub-indices, all the groups posted positive gains -- banking 36.58 points, development bank 1.3 points, hydropower 62.05 points, finance 0.57 points, insurance 24.94 points and others 14.1 points.

Similarly, the secondary market registered a turnover of Rs. 80. 4 million trading total 163,522 unit shares through 533 transactions. Nepalnews.com
