Bhattarai will address the nation after submitting an ordinance toamend various provisions of the constitution to the President, saidPM's aide Biswodeep Pandey.

The ordinance, which will make changes to 19 provisions of the Interim Constitution, will pave the way for an 'election mechanism' under Chief Justice Khilraj Regmi.

In his address to the people, Bhattarai is likely to recount his government's achievements and shed light on the yet-to-be-reached 'package deal' on resolving the deadlock, which began after the dissolution of the CA in May last year.

The news comes a day after four major political parties agreed to form an 11-member election government of 'technocrats' headed by CJ Regmi. However, the parties are yet to resolve a few points including establishment of transitional justice mechanism, distribution of citizenships and updating of voter list.
