Deal on voters' list, TRC eludes parties; Leaders to meet again in the afternoon

A meeting of four major political parties at UCPN (M) chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal's residence on Tuesday morning has ended without leaders reaching an agreement on the much awaited package deal.

Although the parties have made considerable progress in sorting out the details of the deal, the are yet to agree on a few points including establishment of transitional justice mechanism, distribution of citizenship certificates and updating of voter list. The Madhesi Front has demanded that the voter list should be updated as per the recent census.

The leaders will again sit for talks in the afternoon, sources said. nepalnews.com
