Paras Shah in 'coma' in Bangkok hospital after heart attack
Former crown prince Paras Shah, who suffered a major stroke Tuesday evening at his Bangkok apartment, is still unconscious at Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital, Bangkok, reports say.
Shah, who has been staying in Bangkok for some time, has been undergoing treatment at Coronary Care Unit (CCU), but details of his condition are still awaited. Some of his family members are expected to fly to Bangkok to see him.
The 41-year-old former crown prince suffered the stroke a day after his mother, the former queen Komal Shah, celebrated her 63rd birthday. He had suffered his first stroke back in 2007 and had been treated at Norvic Hospital.
Shah who has courted controversy several times for his reckless driving, nightclub brawls and drinking outbursts, was reportedly living with another woman, first in Singapore and then in Thailand. Reports quoting his close friends said he was suffering from depression before he suffered the stroke.
On October 2012, he was arrested in Thailand on charge of possessing marijuana and was released on bail. nepalnews.com
