50-mln-dollar diamonds stolen at Brussels airport: report

Armed robbers made off with diamonds worth millions of euros from the Brussels airport in a daring heist on Monday, local media reported here on Tuesday.

According to Belgian public television VRT, the gansters hit a security truck as the diamonds were being loaded onto a Swiss aircraft bound for Zurich.

If confirmed, the diamonds could be worth some 50 million dollars.
