Nepali embassies in Bahrain, Oman on cards

The government has decided to establish diplomatic missions countries popular among Nepali migrant workers.

As per a Cabinet decision made earlier today, a Nepali embassy will be established in Bahrain and in Oman. Similarly, consulate offices will be opened in Jeddah Saudi Arabia and Guangzhou, China.

The Cabinet has also decided to appoint Dr Sobhakanta Lamichhane as head of BP Koirala Planetarium, said Minister Raj Kishore Yadav.

The Cabinet has given its nod to a proposal to re-name the Ministry of Physical Planning and Transport Management as Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.

It also formed a committee under the Tourism Minister to organise events to mark the diamond jubilee of the first successful expedition to Mt Everest. Nepalnews.com
