Gold price drops by Rs. 1300 per tola

The gold price has plunged by Rs. 1,300 per tola (11.644 gm) to Rs. 55,700 on Thursday. The price on Wednesday was Rs. 57,000.

The price of the precious metal fell in the domestic market following a decline in the international market. The price has declined by US$ 46 per ounce to US$ 1560 in the global market.
