Youth Association's general convention kicks off in Butwal

The general convention of the UML-affiliated Youth Association Nepal (YAN) kicked off in Butwal on Friday.

UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal inaugurated the general convention amid a function organised in the premises of Siddheshwori Secondary School. Senior party leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal, K.P Sharma Oli and Bam Dev Gautam were also present in the opening ceremony.

1436 representatives are participating in the general convention with four candidates - current president Mahesh Basnet, Hira K.C, Niraj Acharya and Jhapat Rawal - in the fray for the post of president. Nepalnews.com
