NPC’s Tharu sets new national record in 200m race

Tilak Ram Tharu of Nepal Police Club has set a new national record in men´s 200m race during the Second Golden Sprint Meet held in capital on Sunday.

Tharu finished the 200m race in 21.71 seconds breaking the 18-year old record of Ram Krishna Chaudhary. Chaudhary had set a national record of 21.92 second in South Asian Games 1995 held in India.

Similarly, Nepal Army´s Min Bahadur Chaudhary finished second at 22.9 seconds and Armed Police Force´s Hari Lal Chaudhary finished third at 25.2 seconds. Nepalnews.com
