Agitated teachers vandalise school buses in Lalitpur
Members of a teachers union who have agitated following their dismissal from a school in Lalitpur have vandalised a bus ferrying students.
Two buses of DAV Sushil Kedia School, which is based in Jawalakhel, were vandalised early this morning as the vehicles were on their way to pick up students, the school said.
All Nepal National Teachers' association and All Nepal Free Student Union (Revolutionary) said they vandalised the vehicles as part of their agitation, Kathmandu-based Ujyaalo FM reported.
The unions have been demanding that the school reinstate three teachers, who were recently sacked by the school. Similarly, they have demanded that the school stop using Indian text books.
