Secondary market index sees slight improvement
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index gained 5.73 points to close at 544.24 points on Monday, the second trading day while it had lost 5.38 points to settle at 538.51 points on Sunday.
Except finance group which was negative by 0.21 points, all the sub-indices posted positive growth as banking posted 7.82 points, hotels 0.75 points, development bank 1.2 points, hydropower 12.5 points, insurance 3.75 points and others 4.7 points today.
The secondary market also registered turnover of Rs. 138 million trading 392,218 unit shares through 1454 transactions.
The stock market index had declined by 11.83 points over last week against the gain of 15.43 points over the previous week. The index was at 555.46 points on Sunday while it declined to close at 543.89 points on Thursday. Nepalnews.com
