Man absconding after setting wife on fire

A person has been absconding for the past four days after setting his wife on fire in Pyuthan district, state-owned news agency RSS reported.

According to the District Police Office, Nimaram Sunar of Dhakakwadi-9 in the district set his wife, Dila, on fire on Saturday evening.

Dila has filed complaint at the District Police Office saying her husband tried to kill her by setting her on fire.

She said that she went to her parents' house and escaped attempt on her life, leaving a two and half year old child behind. Dila's hair is burnt and she suffers bruises and wounds all over the body.

Police Inspector Mitra Bandhu Sharma told RSS that they will arrest the perpetrator and give justice to the victim.
