Stock market loses 5.27 pts

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index lost 5.27 points to settle at 540.27 points on Wednesday, the fourth trading day.

Most of the sub-groups showed negative trend with banking losing 6.9 points, hotels 9.07 points, hydropower 8.85 points, insurance 4.86 points while 'others' group lost 5.87 points. However, development bank and finance group saw slight growth of 0.49 points and 0.42 points, respectively.

The secondary market had lost 5.38 points to settle at 538.51 points on Sunday while the market was positive on Monday and Tuesday. The index had gained 5.73 points to close at 544.24 points on Monday while it registered positive by 1.3 point to 545.54 points on Tuesday. Nepalnews.com
