Govt to provide incentives to audit officials; approves JICA loan for Tanahun Hydropower
The government has decided to provide incentives to the employees of Office of Auditor General (OAG) on the basis of performance. A meeting of the Council of Ministers took the decision Thursday.
Similarly, the government has decided to accept loan assistance equivalent to Rs. 14.7 billion to be provided by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) government for the implementation of Tanahun Hydropower Project, said government spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications Raj Kishor Yadav after the cabinet meeting.
Likewise, the meeting also decided to appoint Laxmi Gautam as the chairman of Budhi Gandaki Hydropower Project Development Committee and Sher Bahadur Shahi as the chairman of Nalsinghgadh Hydropower Project Development Committee for the tenure of four years while Shiba Bahadur Basnet and Narayan Prasad Poudel are appointed the members of the National Sports Council.
The cabinet has also decided to remove the Western Uplands Poverty Alleviation Project from Humla and reinstate it to Jumla, said Yadav. Nepalnews.com |
