Army climb to 2nd; APF survive relegation
Raju Tamang guided Nepal Army Club (NAC) to defeat Simrik Saraswati Youth Club (SYC) 1-0 to jump to second spot of the Red Bull A Division League Football Tournament on Monday.
With the win, Army have accumulated 28 points after playing 15 matches. However, Saraswati still have chances for the super eight as they are in eighth spot with 23 points, ahead of Nepal Police Club who are in the ninth spot with 20 points after playing 14th matches.
The match between Police and Samsung JYC will decide Saraswati’s survival in the super eight league.
Similarly, Armed Police Force (APF) played 1-1 draw with NIBL Friends Club to survived relegation. Dodoz scored for Friends while Arjun Subba scored for APF.
