PM Bhattarai tweeted Tuesday morning, "Friends, we have just managed to reduce load-shedding by 2 hrs, from today. I promise, it won't exceed 10-12 hrs this winter."

On Friday, the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) announced 14 hours of daily power cuts-- up from 12 hours. There was considerable relief on Saturday and Sunday due to increased electricity generation thanks to the increase in water level in the rivers following a rainfall.

Meanwhile, in response to a tweet, PM Bhattarai also said he was for promoting solar energy, mentioning that the government recently signed MOU to provide solar power for Singha Durbar.

PM Bhattarai jointed Twitter on Sunday, few days after one of his personal assistant clarified that he never had a Twitter account and that multiple accounts in his name are fake. nepalnews.com
