Dahal not eying PM's post, claims Bhattarai

Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Tuesday claimed that UCPN (M) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's remark that he could be the next Prime Minister was just a gag and that Dahal was not yearning for the post.

"We were together [in Gorkha] when he said it. He jokingly counter-questioned the media persons why he could not be Prime Minister," Bhattarai told reporters at Phungling in Taplejung.

"I am a legitimately elected Prime Minister. Instead of talking about leadership change the priority now should on how to establish a legitimate institution at the earliest."
