Oppn parties make public stir programme in Valley
Political parties in the opposition on Thursday made public the details of their protest programmes to be organised in Kathmandu Valley, at a press meet in Sanepa.
“We call on all supporters of democracy to participate in our protests to put an end to the totalitarian government and to ensure fresh Constituent Asssembly elections,” said NC leader Nabindra Raj Joshi reading out a joint appeal of the newly-formed People’s Movement Operation Committee, Kathmandu.
The nine agitating parties accused Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai of promoting and protecting perpetrators of human rights violations and misusing the state power.
On January 25, the opposition parties plan to stage a rally and meeting in Taumadi and Jawalakhel. On January 29, they will stage a rally and meeting at Shahid Gate.On February 8, they will stage a rally and gathering at Khula Manch. nepalnews.com
