Samsung Mobile Expo kicks off
Samsung Mobile Expo 2013 kicked off at Civil Trade Center in Sundhara, Kathmandu, on Wednesday.
Film star Karisma Manandhar inaugurated the six-day expo, which is organised by Mobile Traders Association of Nepal (MTAN).
According to the organisers, more than 25 mobile companies are showcasing their products in around 62 stalls. The main highlights of the fair are Windows 8, O.S, Android Jelly bean and 'phablets'.
The expo is featuring stalls of mobile training, mobile exchange, mobile accessories, laptop training and accessories along with the participation of various SIM distributor companies, said the organiser.
The expo is organised to disseminate information about the latest mobile sets and its technologies rather than doing business, said president of MTAN Purushottam Basnet.
Mobile companies including Samsung, Nokia, LG, Karbonn, Lava, Spice, Colors, Sony, HTC, Iphone, Accer, Dell, Toshiba, Fly, Micromax, X-age, Itel, Intex, M-Tech and Lephone are participating in the event.
The customers can buy mobile phones priced from Rs. 1000 up to Rs. 100,000 of various brands during the fair while smart phones, phablets and tablets range from Rs. 5,500 up to Rs. 80,000, organisers said. Nepalnews.com
